Connect Discord notifications

What Discord notifications do

Discord notifications send tournament updates from The Club House into a Discord channel. They can announce registration changes, tournament starts, eliminations, rebuys, add-ons, and results.

Before you start

• You need permission to manage webhooks in the Discord server and channel.
• You need owner or admin access to the club in The Club House.
• Your plan must include Discord notifications and have an available Discord destination.

Create a Discord webhook

1. Open Discord and go to the channel that should receive tournament updates.
2. Open the channel settings.
3. Choose Integrations, then Webhooks.
4. Create a new webhook or open an existing one.
5. Choose the channel, give the webhook a clear name, and copy the webhook URL.

Connect the webhook in The Club House

1. Open Account, then Integrations.
2. Choose Discord.
3. Select Connect Discord.
4. Select the club that should own this Discord destination.
5. Paste the Discord webhook URL.
6. Select Connect.

The webhook URL is stored as a private server-side secret. The Club House keeps safe metadata, such as the server and channel name, but does not show the webhook URL again after it is saved.

Configure events

New Discord destinations start with the available notification events turned on. Open the destination card to choose which events should send, and whether each event applies to all leagues or one specific league.

You can also use Test Message to confirm Discord can receive messages from the saved webhook.

Tournament-level switch

Each tournament has its own Discord notifications switch. Open the tournament settings and make sure Discord notifications is turned on for tournaments that should post updates.

Troubleshooting

• If the test message does not arrive, make sure the webhook still exists in Discord and has not been regenerated or deleted.
• If tournament updates do not arrive, check that the tournament Discord notifications switch is on.
• Check that the event type is enabled on the Discord destination.
• If a league scope is selected, make sure the tournament belongs to that league.
• If your plan excludes a notification type or has reached its Discord destination limit, update the plan or destination setup before retrying.

Security tip

A Discord webhook URL can post into its channel. If it is shared accidentally, regenerate or delete the webhook in Discord and reconnect the destination in The Club House.
