Blind Structures and Templates

How blind structures work and how saved templates are limited by plan.

Blind structures

A blind structure controls the levels used by the tournament clock, including blind increases and any breaks you configure.

What a structure contains

  • Blind levels in sequence
  • Level durations
  • Blind values for each level
  • Optional break levels
  • Starting stack used with the template

Two ways to create a blind structure

Smart Generator

Use this when you want the app to build a structure for you based on your tournament size, duration, levels, breaks, antes, and chip denominations.

Manual Setup

Use this when you want full control and prefer to add or adjust each level yourself.

How the Smart Generator works

  1. Choose the smart option when creating a blind structure.
  2. Enter the starting stack, number of players, and whether you want a fixed number of rounds or a fixed overall duration.
  3. Set level length, break timing, break length, ante timing, and chip denominations.
  4. Generate the structure.
  5. Review the generated blind levels and make any changes you want before saving.

This is the fastest way to create a structure when you want a sensible starting point instead of building every level by hand.

How manual setup works

  1. Choose the manual option to start from scratch.
  2. Enter the template name and starting stack.
  3. Pick a tournament style such as Classic, Deepstack, Turbo, or Home Game to guide blind suggestions.
  4. Add each playing round and break in the order you want.
  5. Drag rows to reorder levels if needed.
  6. Save the structure when it looks right.

Manual setup is best when you already know the exact blind progression you want to run.

Using templates

You can save reusable blind structure templates at the club level and apply them to future tournaments.

How templates fit into tournaments

When you create a tournament, you can start from a blank structure, use a global template, or use one of your club templates. You can still fine-tune the structure later from the tournament blind-structure editor.

Template limits

  • Free β€” 1 blind structure template per club
  • Premium β€” unlimited templates
  • Enterprise β€” unlimited templates

Global templates vs club templates

Global templates are shared starting points. Club templates are your saved custom structures for that club.

If you do not want to save a template yet, you can still start from a blank structure and build the blind levels directly for the tournament.
