Leagues

Understanding Leagues

What a league is and why tournaments are grouped under it.

What a league does

A league groups tournaments into a single competitive season. Standings are calculated across every tournament in that league.

Why tournaments belong to leagues

The platform uses leagues as the container for tournament history, scoring, and leaderboard views. That is why every tournament must belong to one.

Default league on Free

On the Free plan, each club has a default league for tournament creation and management.

When a club is first created, the starting league becomes the default league automatically.

If you later downgrade from Premium, one league remains the default league and other leagues stay visible but become read-only for Free-plan tournament actions.

The club owner can change the default league from league settings when the current default league has no active tournament and the switch cooldown has elapsed.
